GST Due Date Calendar for Indian Taxpayers
Missing a GST return by even one day costs money: late fee of ₹50 per day (₹20 for nil returns) plus 18% interest on tax paid late. This calendar lists every GST return falling due in a financial year or in a chosen month, filtered for your taxpayer type, and shows how many days remain for each. You can download the list as CSV or add the selected dates to Google, Outlook or Apple Calendar with one .ics file.
Due dates built into the calendar
- GSTR-1 – 11th of the next month for monthly filers; 13th of the month after the quarter under QRMP.
- IFF (optional) – 13th of the next month for months 1 and 2 of a quarter, so your B2B buyers get input credit without waiting for the quarterly GSTR-1.
- GSTR-3B – 20th of the next month for monthly filers. Under QRMP it is the 22nd (State Group A: Chhattisgarh, MP, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Goa, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and the southern/western UTs) or the 24th (all other states including Rajasthan, Delhi, UP, Haryana, Punjab, West Bengal).
- PMT-06 – 25th of the next month for QRMP months 1 and 2 (35% fixed-sum or self-assessed payment).
- CMP-08 – 18th of the month after each quarter for composition dealers; GSTR-4 annual return by 30 June (from FY 2024-25; earlier 30 April).
- GSTR-7 / GSTR-8 – 10th of the next month for TDS deductors and e-commerce TCS operators.
- GSTR-9 / 9C – 31 December following the financial year (GSTR-9 above ₹2 crore turnover, 9C above ₹5 crore).
Worked example
A Rajasthan trader with ₹3 crore turnover opts for QRMP for the July–September 2026 quarter. The calendar shows: IFF for July by 13 August and for August by 13 September (optional); PMT-06 payments by 25 August and 25 September; quarterly GSTR-1 by 13 October; and GSTR-3B by 24 October because Rajasthan is in State Group B. Had the business been in Gujarat, the GSTR-3B date would be 22 October.
How to use the calendar
Select the financial year, choose "Whole FY" or a single month, and pick your taxpayer type. The "Next due" card shows the nearest deadline, and each row carries a colour badge – green for comfortable, amber for within 7 days, red for overdue. Tick the rows you want, click the calendar button and import the .ics file into your phone; a reminder is set two days before each date. Dates are the standard statutory ones; when CBIC extends a date by notification, the extension is not applied automatically.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the due date for GSTR-3B under QRMP?
The 22nd of the month following the quarter for taxpayers in State Group A (Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Goa, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Daman & Diu, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Puducherry, Andaman & Nicobar, Lakshadweep) and the 24th for all other states and UTs.
Is IFF compulsory under QRMP?
No. IFF is optional and lets you upload B2B invoices for the first two months of a quarter (up to ₹50 lakh per month) so your buyers can claim ITC in that month. The quarterly GSTR-1 remains mandatory.
When is GSTR-4 due now?
From FY 2024-25 onwards the annual GSTR-4 for composition taxpayers is due on 30 June following the financial year (earlier it was 30 April).
Does the calendar include extended due dates?
It uses the statutory dates. CBIC sometimes extends dates for specific states or periods through notifications; always confirm on the GST portal before the last day.
How do I add these dates to Google Calendar?
Select the rows and click the .ics button. Open the downloaded file on your phone or import it in Google Calendar (Settings → Import & export). Each event has a 2-day reminder.
