Income Tax and TDS Compliance Calendar
Income-tax compliance is spread across the whole year: monthly TDS deposits, quarterly TDS statements, four advance-tax instalments, TDS certificates, and finally the return and audit report. This calendar generates every date for the financial year you select, tells you how many days are left, and lets you export the list as CSV or as calendar events.
Key dates covered
- TDS / TCS deposit – 7th of the following month; TDS deducted in March is due by 30 April (TCS for March by 7 April).
- Form 26QB / 26QC / 26QD – 30 days from the end of the month of deduction for TDS on property purchase, rent above ₹50,000 per month and payments by individuals under section 194M.
- Quarterly TDS statements (24Q, 26Q, 27Q) – 31 July, 31 October, 31 January and 31 May. TCS statement 27EQ is due 15 days earlier each quarter.
- Form 16 – 15 June; Form 16A – within 15 days of the quarterly return due date.
- Advance tax – 15 June (15%), 15 September (45%), 15 December (75%) and 15 March (100%); presumptive taxpayers pay the whole amount by 15 March.
- ITR – 31 July for non-audit cases, 31 October for audit cases and companies, 30 November for transfer-pricing cases; tax audit report by 30 September; belated or revised return by 31 December; updated return (ITR-U) within 48 months from the end of the assessment year.
Worked example
A small company deducts ₹40,000 TDS on contractor payments in September 2026. The deposit is due by 7 October 2026, the 26Q statement for Q2 by 31 October 2026, and Form 16A to the contractor by 15 November 2026. If the deposit slips to 12 October, interest under section 201(1A) at 1.5% per month or part applies for two months (September and October) – ₹1,200 on ₹40,000. The calendar's badge would have shown the deadline turning amber a week in advance.
How to use
Choose the financial year (the matching assessment year is shown alongside) and tick the categories you want: TDS/TCS, advance tax, ITR and audit, or other annual statements such as SFT and Form 10BD. Monthly 26QB rows are hidden by default to keep the list compact. Select rows and export an .ics file with a 3-day reminder on each event. CBDT occasionally extends ITR and audit dates by press release; those extensions must be checked separately.
